I’m Josh C. Jones — author, storyteller, teacher, life enthusiast, and speaker of purpose. I’m a guy who’s worn many hats.

​

Yes, I write books, but I’m more than just an author — I’ve been and still am a filmmaker, actor, media contractor, speaker, teacher, lifelong learner, and quite possibly a part-time philosopher if caffeine counts as a credential. While I've worn many hats throughout my journey thus far, I do believe that titles don’t truly define us — our actions, choices, and character do. Titles, although they are good and can be encouraging and sometimes comforting (I do like titles like anyone), are nothing more than costumes we use to dress ourselves up in order to impress others. For example, if I weren't granted the title of award-winning author, would you still care to check out my books? I believe many of you would, but there are a few who might not. I don’t believe titles are truly who we are; they are just what we do while on this journey of life.

And my journey, well, if it were a book, it would have numerous titles. Get it? Titles. Books. Anyway.

​

My passion lies in inspiring others to seek the truth, enjoy life, take ownership of their lives, and unlock the potential that already lies within them. That’s why I write, speak, teach, and create — because I’ve discovered the power of perspective, purpose, truth, and personal growth, and I want to share it with you.

As an author, I have written many books, but none as special to me as my first.

​

The Book That Started It All

​

My debut book, Destiny: Life or Death, Choose Your Destiny, was called a potential motivational classic by my first publisher — even comparing it to Napoleon Hill’s Think and Grow Rich. That early endorsement was both humbling and energizing. The Second Edition now includes 15 additional pages of insights and a powerful foreword by my friend, the acclaimed New York Times bestselling author Jim Stovall.

Since then I’ve written many more manuscripts and had more books published, such as:
 

• Destiny: Rich or Poor, Life or Death, Choose Your Destiny (second edition). This book is a motivational and self-empowerment guide centered around the concept that your destiny is not fixed but formed by the choices you make and the traits you cultivate. Think, speak, act, behave, and live a life of good character.
   

• Entrepreneur: Road Map for Success — Five Characteristics of the Successful and Respected (Bush Publishing & Associates). This book is part self-help, part personal development, and part entrepreneurial inspiration. Its main goal is to empower you, the reader, to take charge of your life by developing the traits that lead to success and respect.
   

• Making Sense of America's Newest Guild… Again. This book is a first-person exploration and critique of the modern political divide, specifically centered around the term "MAGA." It is not just a political statement — it’s a social critique and a thought-provoking reflection published with FMS Books that uncovers what I learned during my search for deeper meaning in today’s world with the either beloved or absolutely hated term MAGA.
   

• AMERICA: Then and Now, a poem by Josh C. Jones. (1st place, published poetry, WriterCon 2024) This award-winning poem is less about celebrating accolades and more about issuing a solemn warning. It’s my way of expressing a politically and philosophically reflective work in poetic form emphasizing a perspective on how America has changed from its original principles and moral foundations.
   

• AMERICA: If You Can Keep It  (Finalist, WriterCon 2025) This book is a patriotic and philosophical warning, history lesson, and call to action all in one. It challenges you, the reader, to become a protector of liberty by seeking truth, rejecting complacency, and understanding that freedom is both fragile and priceless. I use what has been described as metaphor-rich language to illustrate the dangers facing the United States — not from foreign enemies, but from within, through ignorance, complacency, and misinformation.

 

Why I Do What I Do

 

My mission is to inspire you to laugh a little more, believe a little deeper, seek the truth, and take bold steps toward your true purpose, a firm foundation, and your success. Whether you’re traversing a tough season or just trying to figure out what the heck your “calling” is supposed to be, I’ve been there; and I’ve got stories, strategies, and maybe even a bad dad joke or two to help you keep going — I also get sidetracked sometimes, but still with good information and helpful tidbits.

Remember, every one of us has a choice. We can live passively or step boldly into life, into our purpose.

 

Through my books, talks, podcasts, and teaching, I aim to spark hope, restore faith, inspire inquisitiveness, and offer the tools you need to overcome depression, redefine success, and design a life filled with purpose.
