Blistering Cold, Memories Told

It was a fun time during the snow storm of 2025.

Not only did I finish reading the proof and making the necessary corrections to my newest book to be published, AMERICA: If You Can Keep It, which will be released in 2025, but I also completed the full draft of another book.

Also, I finished the full draft of another book, as I mentioned, which is about Truth. I had someone test-read it too, and they said it’s my best writing thus far. That’s fantastic!

And my brother and I did some photography, too.

But first, I want to share some of the bird photography I did. And yes, I shot through the window for most of them.

Funny story! My camera froze up from the extreme cold, so I had to wait a while for it to begin working again. I had the window open enough to fit the lens through, and I secured the camera using one of those mini flexible tripods. The wind blowing through was so cold that it only took about 7 to 10 minutes for my camera sensors to lock up. Do what you have to to get a shot, right? So through the window it was after that.

We also went and walked in the woods, photographing the snow and trees and other things…like toys! It was so stinking cold out there, our fingers were frozen. The extreme cold also caused some issues with my adapter ring for my lens—it kept having reading errors: I would lose control of the aperature and, although it was taking a photograph, it wouldn't show me on the LCD screen. Like I said, it was stinking cold!

The Rescue Rangers were in action! No matter the weather, they will solve that crime.

However, it doesn’t seem like Dale was in a good spot, though. Hanging upside down in the firm grip of a furious beast. Blood rushing to his head… soon his face will be as red as his nose and shirt.

Chip sees what’s going on and looks back at Monterey Jack while pointing toward the trouble that now has Dale hanging. Gadget looks on, leaning on her wrench, assessing the situation. She always has a plan.

But I believe the Rescue Rangers will pull through—they always do.

See, help is coming. Even other animals are coming to help the Rescue Rangers. When a beast attacks one of the good guys, the animals must stick together. It's time for an aerial attack. Dale will be rescued and the Rescue Rangers will be okay. Hmm...I hope the birds aren't planning a bombing run; that would be...well, messy.

On another note…

We even saw The Noid and Batman while hiking in the snow and ice. Batman never sleeps, it seems. At least we know that our pizzas will be safe from The Noid from now on… at least until he escapes from Arkham Asylum, as everyone Batman puts away there always seems to do. 🤣🤔

Anyway.

We also saw this guy trying to escape from the Rescue Rangers. The birds must have scared him away. See, I told you they’d be fine.

I’m sure he won’t make it too far, though. The Dark Knight watches over his domain, even in the daylight.

Overall, the snowstorm of 2025 was a fun time: hanging with family, writing, hiking, photography, movies, snow ice cream, lots of good food, and laughter.

I hope everyone else had a good break during your time off—if you had time off—or at the very least made the best of those days.
