4. Comforting Lies: A Look At Foolish Choices

Now, there are many, many people I have had civil and respectful conversations, discussions, debates, whatever you wish to call it, with who believe and think and perceive things differently than I. These, I do not consider fools.

It’s those who dismiss differing ideas and perceptions, those who hurt their loved ones and neighbors but refuse to apologize, and might even claim that they never did anything wrong, even in misunderstanding, and demand you take their challenge of bowing to them and showcasing to them what they claim of you, that are acting foolish.

So, in the essence of arguing or debating with a fool, I would like to now address a few topics and concerns with them:

To people who disrupt, demand, and sully the ability of others to hear, read, and learn of differing political ideology to develop good sense in their discretion for their personal judgment on what to believe or accept and of others freedom of speech, those who would demand affirmation from another to justify their choice, and those who foolishly look for identity in the physical, the tangible, and participation, acceptance, and affirmation of another even if done through illicit and demanding ways...

To people who only read, watch, listen to, believe, and obey what their chosen political ideology says and do so without question, without hesitation, without holding ethical, moral, and legal standards to the same...

To people who troll for their own perverse pleasure...

To people who use titles to evoke emotional responses for personal gain and to deceive the true contents inside...

To people who believe it is just to cause massive injustice, pain, and destruction in order to achieve their peace and perceived justice...

To people who believe and support the demolishing and eradicating of uncomfortable history while clinging to the phrase that “if we let uncomfortable history be forgotten, there will be no America."

To people who believe hate, opinion, and limited perception are immediate be-all and end-all of all reported legal and political opportunities, with blatant disregard for patience, facts, law, or truth...

To people who use emotion, feelings, negativity, and derogatory words to slander and libel another’s character and reputation and to persuade others to do the same, regardless of logic, reason, facts, or positivity...

To those who would lie and say they’ve never fallen into one of these traps before...

To those who would see color over content of character, skill, or ability as the deciding factor...

That is a fools errand.

Proverbs 23:9 says, “Do not speak in the ears of a fool, For he will despise the wisdom of your words.”
